Leaving your cat behind can be stressful, especially if you’re worried about them eating properly. Cats are creatures of habit, and even a small change in routine can make some of them skip meals or ignore their water. At Woof and Meow, we totally get it—and our in-home cat visits are designed to keep your cat’s routine steady, so they stay well-fed, hydrated, and content.

Sticking to Their Routine

Cats love consistency, so we make sure mealtime happens just the way they’re used to. During each visit, we follow your instructions to the letter—portion size, timing, and anything else you tell us about how your cat likes to be fed. Keeping things as familiar as possible helps your cat feel more comfortable, which means they’re less likely to skip a meal or turn their nose up at their food.

Encouraging Eating and Drinking

Some cats get a little anxious when their humans are away and may lose interest in eating or drinking. If that sounds like your cat, don’t worry! We take the extra time to encourage them by sitting with them, talking to them, and making sure they feel secure. And when it comes to drinking, we refresh their water, refill fountains, or even try tricks to get them interested—anything to keep them hydrated and happy.

For the Picky Eaters

We know some cats are a bit finicky and may need a little extra attention to eat well. If your cat has preferences or special dietary needs, we’re happy to follow any instructions you leave us. Whether it’s heating up their food, adding a little treat, or being gentle with a sensitive tummy, we’ll make sure they’re comfortable and well-fed.

Keeping an Eye on Things

During every visit, we pay close attention to how your cat is eating and drinking. If we notice any changes, we’ll let you know right away so you can decide what’s best. We send daily updates, photos, and videos so you can see for yourself that your cat is doing well and staying on track with their meals.
